Kal's Bakery Reviews
For the price you get enough food to feed 4. They are always on point, food is always good. The wait and long line is for a reason. I know what I'm getting into so I don't mind waiting. I forgot to take pictures before I ate. I'm to full to set a plate. Lol. 10 stars …
Update: I had to come back and update. They have very much improved. The ladies are a lot nicer but they need a better system to fix the long line prob. The food is very delicious and the portions are out of this world. I couldn't wait, forgot to take the pic first. That's how much that was left of a medium plate with meatballs (3), after I took some and hubby took some, not even half. "Boulets" are a must try, don't let the size scare you. 1st post: The food is good and you get nice portion, but the customer service is unacceptable. There's a long line of people waiting but the ladies serving just stand there talking, arguing amongst themselves. So unprofessional! Want to add there was at least 5 ladies in there but only one was serving. Did I mention there was a line?!
The whole experience is otherworldly from the crowd to the enormously packed dishes. Be prepared to feed a family of 4. Deliciosa supreme! God bless the cook!
The food is good but the wait is too long for no reason with all them workers Kal must do BETTER
Food is favorable, delicious, and exquisitely desirable. The service has well mannered staff who will cater to your wants to serve you. The staff prefer language based is Haitian Creole and they can communicate in English. The atmosphere is giving long lines & worth the wait in a crowded area, sure enough the line moves. Check them out! Kala one of my favorite to go Haitian restaurants in NYC.
Best restaurant in town. Enough food to feed the whole family. Very affordable can’t complain. Please get back in business. The community need you. However some of your waitresses need to be in the kitchen. Very rude! Say no more.
I grew up with the place. Although I no longer live in Brooklyn. It's always good going back and getting my favorites here. Sometimes, it takes a minute for the food to come out, but it's worth it because it's actually fresh. Not your pre- prep fast food. Good old authentic Haitian culture food and drinks. It's well money spent not overpriced. I personally buy in bulks because I'm coming from Nassau. And lastly, don't let some of the pictures on here, fooI you. I forgot to take one of the stores. It's been upgraded.
Love this place. Soup Boullion is the best, tastes like Home cooked Haitian food. Kal is the Best!
